So time is flying by and I am pretty excited about it. While I know I should be enjoying Eric and I's last 6 months or so of "alone" time, I feel like I have so much to look forward to in the future. It makes it a little difficult to enjoy each day by itself. I find myself treating each work week like an advent calendar. Check off another week, that makes it approximately 28 more weeks of work until baby is here. And then there's the countdown to when we get to find out what we're having so it's about 8 weeks to that event. Also there's the countdown to the end of the first trimester. I'm almost there on that one but I hear the nausea may not get better for even a few more weeks after that, if it does get better. I also have days where I am content to do almost nothing but rest, watch tv, movies, eat and sleep and then days where I feel like I can't do enough and oh my gosh, what am I going to do with the nursery?! Anyway, Eric keeps me grounded. Sure we have a lot to do, but we really do still have time to do it. And he's got his hands full with other projects at the moment anyway...
Like dressing Frankie up in his tie.
And here's the fetus at 10 1/2 weeks. Dr. Froerer said that "he" (I am just picking that pronoun for right now because I think we are having a boy, and I don't want to say "it") looked like about 11 weeks in size, so he's growing right on track. Eric thinks we are having a boy because he confused the umbilical cord for something else!

How fun to get your floor redone. I helped Cam cut up a moose that he shoot a few years ago, just before I got pregnant and I still can not eat the meat from it.
I'm so excited for your baby. I hope that I get the opportunity to go through pregnancy someday too.
Thanks about my house. I for sure want you to come see it! I can't wait!!
Yay for the floor! I love home projects...better said, I love getting home projects DONE!
I can't believe you can touch raw meat while you are pregnant. We were vegetarians during both my pregnancies... I couldn't touch the stuff. I could eat cooked meat, but to smell & touch it uncooked was so DISGUSTING! Then back to normal after the baby was born.
I know what you are saying the last time I was prego was a crazy time. But I was just the opposite. I needed raw meat to satisfy my hunger of fresh blood.
Congrats Jen! I am so excited for you to have a little baby:) That will look so awesome to sand and re finish the hard wood. You will have to post pictures when it is done.
Oh, Jenny!! Our cute little Cheer Squad sweatshirts--I wore mine on Saturday night, funny. But you're butchering...I never thought I'd see that one!
AND, I as I was reading through the blog I was thinking--she's forgetting the countdown to her birthday! But then you brought it up! You know I haven't forgotten!
I'm so excited for you to have a little baby--we'lll call it boy!! I'll be in town for a week for Thanksgiving and two weeks for Christmas so I better get to see you at least once! Loves.
Wow...that was a really nice post. I was following you with the countdown thing. I can totally relate. I think your hardwood floors are going to be awesome. I'm very excited for you guys. BUT, you completely lost me with the meat. Wow. You must have a really strong pregnancy stomach. You must be feeling great if you can do that. I hope Frankie & Roscoe enjoy your hard work! It sounds like they already enjoyed it a little too much.
Hey Jen,
Its Mikaela from good ol WJHS cheer! I have not seen you in years but randomly came acrossed your blog! It will be fun to stay in touch! Congrats on the baby! You can check my blog out, but really its kind of boring.
Congratulations on your baby news! We missed you at the Carver barBQ but maybe we will see you guys at christmas. Hope all is well with you both and that you stay feeling good while you are pregnant!
